Text:  Philippians 2: 16-18
Thesis:   It is our Christian responsibility to see that we use our time, talents and resources
                in areas that matter to God.
 * * *
 
 I.  Don’t feel sorry for someone who has poured out their life on _________________
       causes.  (vs.18)
 
A. The Apostle Paul is stating don’t feel sorry for me but “be glad and rejoice with me” because my life was given for the work of God.
 
B. You can be proud if you are broken, tired and worn thin because you gave your life for a Godly cause.
 
 “He is no fool who gives up what he cannot keep for what he cannot lose.”  unknown
 
1. You will be rewarded for your sacrifices.
 
 
 
 II.  Everyone is pouring their live into ___________________.  (vs. 17)
 
A. Everyday that goes by a little more of your life is used up.  The big question is, “was it worth it?”
 
1. The Apostle Paul does an inventory of his life and his conscience is clear and his actions are justified by God.
 
 
 
 III.  The lesson here is to be ___________________ that you pour your life into
           things that matter to God.
 
A. Use your time, talents and resources to ensure that your family’s physical, mental, social and spiritual well-being is provided for.
 
B. Use your time, talents and resources to ensure the Kingdom of God is being built.
 
 Jesus said, “I will build the Church and the gates of hell will not prevail against it.” 
Matthew 16:18
 
1. Give your tithe (10%) to the church you attend.  Malachi 3:6-12
 
2. God has provided each Christian with a unique gift or talent to serve Him with.
3. Every person is given 14 hours a day, 7 days a week and 52 weeks a year, but not everyone gives back a portion of their time to the Lord.  Use your time wisely.
