Text Box:   Nurture Your Relationship With the King   TEXT:       Luke 1:26-38 THESIS:   May we echo Mary’s words to God, “May it be to me as You have said.”    ef            I.       MARY, IN TRUSTING GOD, DEMONSTRATED A DEGREE OF _____________.                   (vs. 38)   “I tell you the truth, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘move from here to there’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.”  Luke 17:6                     A.      Mary learned as a child that the people of God ________________ by faith.   Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight. (Proverbs 3: 5-6)                     B.      The ________________ was before Mary, yet she said, “Yes” to God without                            question.                              1.      How did Mary approach the unknown?                                       a.      She knew God was ________________ her.                                       b.      She knew God ________________ her.                                       c.      She knew God ________________ and answered her prayers.                                       d.      She knew that when God calls we must take that _______________                                              of faith.   And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him. (Hebrews 11:6)   ACTION STEPS:      Ř   Pay down debt ~ cut up the charge card.                                         Ř   Establish a prayer time ~ set the alarm clock.                                         Ř  Teach a Sunday school class ~ call a pastor or educational director.                                         Ř  Practice Biblical Stewardship ~ write a check for 10%                                         Ř  Develop a close friendship ~ make a phone call.            II.      MARY, IN TRUSTING GOD, DEMONSTATED A DEGREE OF ______________.                   (vs. 38)                     A.      Mary would not only face ________________ herself but her husband, the Christ Child and her other children would face danger as well, yet she said, “Yes” to God.   “Have I not commanded you?  Be strong and courageous.  Do not be terrified; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.” (Joshua 1:9)                     B.      Mary knew that God has been ________________ for thousands of years to                            millions of other people.
