Text Box: The Riot In Ephesus   Text: Acts 19:23-41 Thesis: Jesus said, “I did not come to bring peace but a sword.” Matthew 10:34   I. The Message of Jesus Christ had a                                  effect on the city of Ephesus.   (11) so is my word that goes out from my mouth: It will not return to me empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it. (Isaiah 55)              A. “Paul spoke                         there…arguing persuasively about the kingdom of God.” (Vs 8 &26) B. Then new believers were                         with the Holy Spirit. Vss. 1-7 C. The Christian converts                  their old way of life. D. The conversion of the Ephesians affected the                          of the city. Vs23 1. “Money talks.” So speak loudly with your dollars. 2. Christians have the power to change society. E. The negative impact of the economy caused by the spiritual transformation of the                               captured the        attention of the                             . (vss.24-29a) F. The Christian believer has the power to                 down the strong holds of Satan by                                     firm and not partaking of the evil things of the world.   II. Satan tried to destroy the work of Christ in      Ephesus but failed.              A. “The people seized Gaius and Aristarchus, Paul’s traveling companions from Macedonia, and rushed as one man into the theater. (vs 29) 1. Communion was held in this theater in the week of     November 1-11 of 2006.(see the slides of proof.)   III. God is calling us to be up             and                   about his saving power in Jesus Christ.   A. We must not                      like the river that literally changed the geographical location of Ephesus.
