Text Box: I (Jesus) CHOSE YOU TEXT:         John 15:16 THESIS:     It is an overwhelming truth that God chose us to play a vital role in building his kingdom.            I.       GOD HAS ___________________ TO BUILD HIS CHURCH THROUGH YOU.                     A.      “You did not choose me (Jesus), but I (Jesus) chose you. (vs. 16a)                              1.      God took the ___________________ to reach out to us.   “You see, at just the right time, when we were still powerless...while we were still sinners Christ died for us.”  (Romans 5:8)                              2.      God, through Jesus’ sacrificial death on the cross made it possible for each one                                     of us to be:                                       a.)     Justified ~ “___________________ as if I had never sinned.”                                       b.)     Regenerated ~ “The moral nature of the repentant believer is spiritually                                                                          quickened...”, “the old is gone, the new has come.”                                                                          (2 Corinthians 5:17)                                       c.)     Adopted ~ “He gave us the right to become children of God.”  (1 John 1:12)                                       d.)     Entirely Sanctified ~ “by which believers are made free from original sin and                                                                                  brought into a state of entire devotement.”                                                                                  (1 Thessalonians 5:23-24)                     B.      (God) I chose you to go and bear fruit ~ fruit that will last.”  (vs 16b)                              1.      God ___________________ us to use our time, talent and resources to build his                                     church.  “Do you love me?  Feed my sheep.”  (John 21:15-17)                                       a.)     Time ~ “As long as it is day, ___________________ must do the work of                                                             him who sent me.”  (John 9:4)   “The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few.”  (Matthew 9:37)                                       b.)     Talent ~ “To one he gave five talents of money, to another two talents, and                                                                to another one talent, each according to his ability.”                                       c.)     Resources ~ “Give, and it will be given to you.  A good measure, pressed                                                                      down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into                                                                      your lap.  For with the measure you use, it will be measured                                                                      to you.”  (Luke 6:38)              II.      THE CHURCH THAT JESUS IS BUILDING THROUGH YOU, IS FOR _______________.                     A.      We are recipients of God’s work through us.                              1.      You can not out-give God.              III.     THE FRUIT THAT YOU WILL BEAR WILL BE EVIDENCED IN THE SALVATION OF                   ___________________.                     A.      God is working his good and perfect will in and through you.                     B.      The Fruit of Christ tastes good and will attract the spiritually hungry of our world.                     C.      ‘Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest                            if we do not give up.”  (Galatians 6:9) Text Box: Sermon Notes Text Box: Welcome to...
