“Wind is one of the Biblical symbols of the Holy Spirit, the life-giving                       breath of God. (see Ezek. 37:9-14 and Jesus words in John 3:8).  Here                       the symbol denotes supernatural heaven-sent power.”

III.       Jesus in his foreknowledge knew his disciples would    ______________
             tremendous responsibilities and perils.
             A.     We need the Holy Spirit to __________________________ the perils of:
                      1.     Spiritual destruction – Jesus said “Satan desires to sift Peter (us)                               like wheat”.
                      2.     Great deception – “If the days had not been cut short, if possible the                               very elect would have been deceived.”
                      3.     Idolatry – materialism is rampant.
                      4.     The loss of our first love – Jesus.
             B.     God wants to empower us to be _________________________                              Christians.
