“Fan the Gift into Flame”

 

TEXT:  Ephesians 2:10

THESIS:  God has prepared good works for His children to carry out.

 

* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * *

 

I.  “Faith without works is dead.”  James 

            A.  God prepared them in advance…”  (vs 10a) 

1.    God knew us while we were being knitted together in our mother’s womb.  (Psalms 139:13)

 

2.   God has pre-destined us to be conformed to the image of His Son.

(Romans 8: 29)

 

 

 

II.  “Fan the gift into flame”  (II Timothy 1:6) 

A.     God wants us to use the gifts and talents he has given to us.
 

1.    We should not waste the talents. 

a)     Secular verses Spiritual 
 

2.   We should not let our talents lie dormant.
