The
Refuge

In the last days the mountain of the Lord’s temple will be established as chief among the mountains;
it will be raised above the hills, and people will stream to it.  Many nations will come and say, “come, let us go up to the mountain of the Lord,
to the house of God of Jacob.”           Micah 4:1-2

Our church can be Your home.

“He Is Good; His Love Endures Forever”

TEXT:  2 Chronicles 7:1-10

THESIS:  God’s presence is worth any amount of sacrifice we may give Him.

I.  When God comes, things are never the same.

A.      God’s presence transforms a person’s life and future.

1.       Moses’ encounter at the burning bush produced humility and leadership.

2.       Jacob’s wrestling with an Angel left a physical flaw that produced steadfastness.

3.       Daniel’s face to face encounter with the Lord drained him of all strength and produced a prophet.

B.      God still transforms people’s lives through His Son Jesus Christ our Lord.

1.       Souls are saved.

2.       Lives are redeemed.

3.       Relationships are restored.

4.       Men and women are called to be his ambassador for Christ.

II. “The King and all the People offered sacrifices before the Lord.” (vs.4)

A.      They sacrificed 22,000 head of cattle and 120,000 head of sheep and goats. (vs.5)

B.      The Levites praised God with instruments created by King David. (See Psalms150)

C.      Sunday worship is one of God’s greatest means of Grace.

III. “…he sent the people home joyful, and glad in heart for the good things the Lord had

done…” (vs.10)

A.      God seeks to bless those who honor him.

B.   God will give something to take home with us.
