The
Refuge

In the last days the mountain of the Lord’s temple will be established as chief among the mountains;
it will be raised above the hills, and people will stream to it.  Many nations will come and say, “come, let us go up to the mountain of the Lord,
to the house of God of Jacob.”           Micah 4:1-2

Our church can be Your home.

An Incalculable Debt

Text: Matthew 18:21-29

Thesis: Calculate your debt that has been forgiven and forgive your neighbor

accordingly.

I. The King of Kings has forgiven your debt.

Jesus "wiped our slate clean" through his meritorious death on

      the cross.

Our sin was so horrendous and grievous to God that it took

the life and blood of our Lord Jesus Christ to pay the price.

In the garden mankind took up sides with Satan himself.

Jesus chose to die a horrible death on the cross so you and I could live.

Jesus love for us compelled him to experience the

shameful form of capitol punishment called crucifixion.

In Christ Jesus we are now free from the law of sin and

        death. (see Romans 8:1-5)

II. The servant was forgiven much but refused to forgive his brother

who owed little.

The servant had his debt cancelled of several million dollars.

The servant would not forgive another who owed him twenty

      dollars.

III. God will take into account our willingness to forgive.

A. We are most like God when we forgive.
