The
Refuge

In the last days the mountain of the Lord’s temple will be established as chief among the mountains;
it will be raised above the hills, and people will stream to it.  Many nations will come and say, “come, let us go up to the mountain of the Lord,
to the house of God of Jacob.”           Micah 4:1-2

Our church can be Your home.

~

b. 20 out of 30 major parables of Jesus’ relate to mans’ attitude toward property.

3.           The first Christian gave above and beyond the tithe.

B.   The tithe belongs to God

C.   God gives us 100% and only asks for 10% - Keep Perspective

D.   God wants us to systematically tithe.

III.   God commands us to tithe.

A.   Blessings and curses are directly tied to tithing  (vss 9-12)

“I do not believe we will ever get ahead financially unless we tithe.”

Pastor Chuck

B.   Tithing is a sign that we have returned to God  (vs 7)

C.   God requires us to tithe to the “storehouse.”  (vs 10)

~

Tithing’s not based upon millions - it’s just a percentage that counts;

Whether your income is five figures - or earned in lesser amounts.

If you have earned but a dollar - a dime must go in the plate;

Then you’re sure you’re giving - to God at His specified rate.

A Christian would never ~ no never - rob men with a gun or a knife;

But far too many church members - are robbing God of His tithe.

Don’t boast of how much you’re giving - until you’ve given God’s part;

The tithe comes into the storehouse

while the offering comes from the heart.
