The Commendable Mother Text: 2 Timothy 1:5 Thesis: It is time to commend the Godly mother who is actively involved in her childrens lives.
I. We commend the mothers who have trans formed the house into a home. A. Recapture the art of being a Home-Maker. 1. We can share meals, play games, have long talks and bow before our God all in our homes. B. The home is a refuge from the world. 1. Stand guard against the intrusion of the ungodly invasions. 2. Work to decrease tension and anxiety in the home. C. Praise the mom who takes the time to do the little extra special things to make things nice. II. We Commend the Mothers who have taught Judeo/Christian values to their children. A. Values are being taught to your children by their peers. B. Values are being taught to your children by the media. C. Be encouraged you are the greatest influencer of values to your children. III. We Commend our Mothers who not only love their children but enjoy them most of the time. A. Children were entrusted to us by God to be enjoyed not to be just tolerated. B. Children need healthy adult attention. 1. Children develop a healthy self worth when they are given love and affection. 2. Children learn self discipline from parental discipline. 3. Children develop social and communication skills through adult interaction. |
