Harvest is About

“TIME”

TEXT:      John 4: 27-42

THESIS:   “Today is the day of Salvation!”

I.                Jesus has a vision of the world to be “harvested” for God.  (vs. 34)

A.      “For God so loved the world...”  John 3:16

B.       The world is defined in Acts 1:8.

 

II.              Jesus declares, “now is the time for the harvest.”  (vs. 35-42)

A.      Jesus is speaking to his disciples saying, “open your eyes.”

B.       Jesus reveals urgency.

1.        The Christian must not procrastinate.

a.        Invite people to Church.

b.       Pray for them daily.

c.       Share with them what Jesus means to you.

 

III.           Jesus is calling the sinner to come to him for salvation.  (vss 39-42)

A.      “All have sinned and fallen short of thee glory of God.”  (Romans 3: 23)

B.       “The wages of sin is death.”  (Romans 6: 23a)

C.     “...but the gift of God is eternal life.”  (Romans 6: 23b)
