| Patch the Pirate is a program developed by Ron Hamilton and his wife, Shelly. Ron "Patch" lost his left eye to cancer over twenty years ago. Since that time the Lord has given him and his wife a wonderful opportunity to minister to children through this club. New Life has used the Patch Club to reach our children for the Lord since 1991. The Patch Club is an exciting children’s choir club that uses Godly character lessons as its central emphasis. Five purposes of Patch the Pirate Club have been established: 1. To build strong Christian character into the lives of children; 2. To present a positive witness for Christ; 3. To worship the Lord in song; 4. To train children in music; 5. To provide an exciting club meeting that every child will enjoy.
Each week Bible lessons, Scripture memory, character building song, and a daily devotional guide are designed to work together to promote faithfulness and Godly character in our children's lives. In addition, each child will have an opportunity to serve the Lord through a monthly musical presentation. Through Patch the Pirate Club, each child will receive the benefit of both musical and Biblical instruction.
Patch the Pirate is for children 4 years through Grade 1, and meets weekly on Sunday nights at 6 p.m.
Patch the Pirate's Club Verse is: Colossians 3:16, "Let the Word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your heart to the Lord."
The Sailor's Salute is: "I pledge allegiance to the Lord Jesus Christ, Whose name I love and Whose praise I sing. As a faithful sailor in Patch the Pirate Club, I will do my best to serve my Savior and obey His Word."
